Description
"The most beautiful computer program anywhere! Thanks!!" comment received on Twitter

In 1987 Distant Suns first put the universe on your desktop. In 2010 it puts the universe in your shirt pocket (or briefcase if you have an iPad).

Originally started in 1985, it has become one of most venerable software titles around.

Sporting a database of over 300,000 stars, along with nebula and galaxies and solar system simulator, Distant Suns has earned the reputation of both having one of the most realistic displays of the night sky, while being one of the easiest to use astronomy programs available for the most casual sky watchers and serious astronomers alike.

What's new in Version 3.1.4
* Finally fixed the last issues in the compass. Sometimes it couldn't figure out the "true heading," only the magnetic heading, which would confuse it. So now if the true heading is available, it will use that, or fall back to the magnetic heading if not.
